We encourage our campers to bring friends and family with them to New Orleans to enjoy our city and take advantage of all of its unique charms. Our discounted hotel rate will be extended to anyone coming to New Orleans Aug 1-8, 2010 and attending our final camp performance on Friday August 6th in the evening. A local tour guide is available for customized tour information. With almost 300 years of history there is a lot to see and do in New Orleans. Tour the Garden District, cemeteries, the river, our streetcar system, (the oldest surviving railroad line in the country) our riverboats, a world class zoo and aquarium, ferry rides, the list goes on and on. Visit the New Orleans Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau for additional ideas. We hope you will remain in town the weekend following camp and stay for the Satchmo Festival, August 5-8, which celebrates Louis Armstrong and traditional jazz.
